There’s an option to avoid the use of chemicals on your wooden boxes or pallets for Export.

The 2 options for treating wood packaging being Exported from Australia are;
MB – Methyl Bromide HT – Heat Treatment

Heat treating is a common application for softwood in Australia, and hardwood is generally fumigated with Methyl Bromide. So if it’s chemical free that you’re looking for then HEAT TREATED timber is the best choice for you.
Something else to keep in mind is that materials like Plywood, MDF or Particle Board do not need to be treated at all. You can chose one of these materials and just use softwood timber that’s been heat treated. Depending on the weight you’re putting inside, this can be easily managed.

We’d love to see what design we can come up with to suit your export, so tell us how we can help sales@ubeeco.com.au or 02 9670 9800.
